The DC Landlord Association invites District residents to participate in DC Last Will & Testament Day, a free community event designed to help residents complete a basic Last Will and Testament at no cost.

Registration and a scheduled appointment is required. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
What You Will Receive
Eligible participants will have an opportunity to:
Meet privately with a participating legal professional
Discuss their basic estate-planning wishes
Prepare a basic Last Will and Testament
Review the completed document
Receive instructions for properly signing and witnessing the will
There is no charge for qualifying DC residents.
How It Works
Complete the required registration form.
Select an available appointment time.
Complete the pre-appointment questionnaire.
Bring your government-issued photo identification and proof of DC residency.
Attend your scheduled appointment on October 16, 2026.
Complete your basic Last Will and Testament at no cost.
Information to Gather Before Your Appointment
Please be prepared to provide:
Your full legal name and current address
The names of your spouse, children, or other beneficiaries
The person you would like to serve as executor
An alternate executor
Your preferred guardians for minor children, if applicable
General information about your property and important assets
Any specific gifts or instructions you would like included

Appointments will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration does not guarantee an appointment until your date and time have been confirmed.
